Through the Moon Gate - No. 4

Through the Moon Gate - No. 4

from 150.00

This series is inspired by traditional garden moon gates, with soft colors from classical Chinese art. The moon gate is an architectural element in old Chinese gardens—a circular passageway that invites people into a world of beauty.

To create these images, I began with fresh floral designs and then photographed them with different "moon gate" frames. I carefully selected florals and crafted each frame based on colors that are true to the styles of paintings from centuries ago. The floral element in this frame is inspired by the romantic play Peony Pavilion, written by the dramatist Tang Xianzu in 1598.

Each image is printed on professional grade paper and mounted on a thick, lightweight backing, which gives a sleek, contemporary look (ready-to-hang, with no frame necessary).

The pictures are a perfect blend of traditional and modern; they are available in two sizes, for intimate or more open spaces in your home.
